Welcome!
Welcome to the Alfred Moore Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), website.
The Alfred Moore Chapter, NSDAR, was established in 1924, and has a rich history. Our chapter was named for the Revolutionary soldier and statesman for whom Moore County was named. Our meetings are held the second Saturday from September through May. We have interesting speakers and presentations at every meeting.
The mission of the DAR is promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Please see the Activities page for examples of how Alfred Moore Chapter, NSDAR, honors and celebrates this mission in our community.
Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. Our chapter has experts to help you find your Patriot and complete your application. If you are interested in joining the DAR, attending one of our meetings, or want to talk to someone about our chapter, please contact us (see button on the left) for more information.
