Since its founding in 1896,
the DAR Library has grown
into a specialized collection
of American genealogical
and historical manuscripts
and publications.
The Alfred Moore Chapter, NSDAR, meets in the months from January through May and September through December. Meetings include a program and lunch. Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal descent from a Patriot of the American Revolutionary War is eligible for membership. You can visit the National Society DAR membership page for more information.
A Patriot is anyone who supported the cause for American independence through military, civil, or patriotic service, which must have occurred during the period between 19 April 1775 and 26 November 1783.
