Activities

Our chapter has many volunteer activities.
Below is a list of a few that are ongoing:

  • Observe Constitution Week in September
  • Participate in the DAR Good Citizens Award program and scholarship contest
  • Present certificates to outstanding JROTC members at local high schools and colleges
  • Support Tamassee DAR School and Crossnore School and Children’s Home
  • Participate in projects to support active military men and women
  • Support veterans at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina
  • Present the Community Service Award to recognize worthy individuals and organizations for outstanding voluntary service
  • Show appreciation to our local fire stations and EMS crews with baked goods.
