We are delighted that you are visiting the website of the Fort Dobbs Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR). Our chapter is located in historic Statesville, North Carolina, in the Piedmont area of our beautiful state. Most of our members live right here in the local community, but some of our members live in nearby areas or even out of state.
We are a friendly, active, and committed group that always makes our new and prospective members feel part of the chapter right away. We have a wide variety of interests and experiences, as well as a broad spectrum of age. We have approximately 70 members, which resulted from the merging of the Fourth Creek Chapter, NSDAR, and Fort Dobbs Chapter, NSDAR, on April 15, 2000. One thing is certain — we are united by our patriotism, love for our country, and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our community members, our state, and our country.
We meet as a chapter on the third Tuesday during the months of January through May and September through December. Our locations may vary, based on our programs and scheduled events. Depending on the meeting time, we have lunch or refreshments provided by our Hostess Committee. We value the opportunity to have some social time to gather, meet guests, and exchange greetings.
Please feel free to explore this website. As you look through this site, you will find out more about our history, our town, our projects, our activities, our programs, and our Patriots. We would love to have you as a part of our chapter. Please contact us by email (see menu on top left of the page) if you would like to attend one of our meetings or talk with someone about our chapter.
