We have chapter meetings once a month from September through May. Please contact us for more information about our chapter or for an invitation to one of our meetings.
For more than a century, the members of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) have dedicated themselves to historical preservation, promotion of education, and encouragement of patriotic endeavor.
The Colonel Frederick Hambright Chapter participates in many community service projects. Across the country, DAR members have logged over 12 million volunteer hours in our communities during the past three years.
The tradition of celebrating Constitution Week was started many years ago by the Daughters of the American Revolution. In 1955, the DAR petitioned Congress to set aside September 17-23 annually to be dedicated for the observance of Constitution Week.
Join us for events throughout the park.
Kings Mountain National Military Park

Our chapter supports the Howser House and helps with opening the house to the public twice a year. Come visit this 1803 stone mansion, and see how life in the Carolina backcountry progressed after the Battle of Kings Mountain and the American Revolution. The Howser House is located just outside the Kings Mountain Park.
Each year our chapter supports the Commemoration of the Tryon Resolves in conjunction with the Battle of Kings Mountain SAR Chapter. The Tryon Resolves were signed on August 14, 1775, by 50 men. The descendants of these men remain in the area today. Do any of these names sound familiar to you?
