Raleigh is the Capital of North Carolina and with a population of approximately 300,000 people is the largest city located in the heart of North Carolina known as the Triangle. It was founded over 200 years ago and named for
Sir Walter Raleigh who founded the Lost Colony on Roanoke Island. The Lost Colony was the first English speaking colony in North America.

Raleigh is known as the "City of Oaks."
